ON THE BALCONY AT THE SENATOR'S SWANKY APARTMENT:
Padme: Annie, I want to have our baby back home on Naboo. We can go to the lake country where no one will know. I can go early and fix up the baby's room. [Half-listening stare/smirk from Anakin] Padme: I know the perfect spot: right by the gardens. Anakin: Oh, yeah, it's nice there, that garden by the palace. Padme: No, I was thinking of the other one. Anakin: The one on the hill by the dock? Padme: No, not that one either. You know the spot: there are lots of trees there. Anakin: Is that near that art museum? Padme: Geez, Anakin, do you even pay attention when we're there? I mean that area with the beautiful purple roses. Anakin: Oh, yeah, yeah, I got it now. You're talking about those apartments by the river inlet. Padme: What the...? Anakin: Well, what do you expect? The whole planet's a freakin' garden! Padme: Oh, just forget it! We'll have it here! Anakin: In the apartment? Padme: No! In the city! Anakin: It's a big city, lady...a planet-size city. Padme: Blazes, do I have spell everything out for you? Anakin: Apparently. Just go back to your hair. Padme: Fine! Anakin: Fine! [Long pause. Padme brushes her hair very slowly. Anakin thinks hard.] Anakin: Uh...you are so....beautiful. Padme: Aw, shut up
