| After The Kiss by Queen Karendala |

"Sir… Sir…." The metallic voice of the protocol droid seemed so distant, but it was a beacon bringing her back to reality. Leia stood locked in an embrace with Han for a few more seconds. Until then she had been lost… lost in the moment and emotion that had been shared between the two of them. She had wanted to move, to run, anything to get away from him when he first came to check on her and started that "scoundrel talk" of his. Now it was all she could do to move away from him. As Han turned to talk to 3PO, she took that moment to go off by herself. Walking quietly she wandered through the Falcon until she ended up at the djarik game table. She sat down on the bench at the table, and crossed her arms in front of her chest.
She had never been in such a situation as this… one where she could not think her way out of it. Everything told her that she should not have feelings for Han: they were at war with the empire. Besides, he was nothing like the other men she had been around before. He was rude, boorish and gruff, never thinking, and scruffy looking. No, she told herself, he's not that scruffy looking. When he's not acting like such an idiot, he's actually rather handsome.
Raised as a princess and a politician, she was courted by the most eligible bachelors on Alderaan. They were always perfect gentlemen, finely dressed, proper manners, and never ever would have dared pull a stunt like Han just did. They were all boring, she told herself as she let a small smile escape her. Even the kiss she had given Luke in the medic room was empty to her… she felt nothing as she did it. She was not sure what made her do that in the first place. Perhaps to make Han jealous or to try to get the last word… but probably the former. The war of words with him seemed more a war with herself that Han. Her mind and her heart had been battling with each other for some time now on the subject.
"Your majesty…." Once again, the metallic voice brought her back to reality. 3PO came wondering into the room, seemingly in quite a hurry to find her. But then again, he always acted like that. "I think I may have seen something outside the ship. I tried telling Captain Solo, but he threatened to permanently shut me off if I uttered another word. I think he was still upset about me interrupting your…. Um…. 'moment' in the corridor."
"It's alright. Let me take a look," Leia said as she got up to gaze out of one of the observation ports. She could not think of what could possibly be in the inner bowels of an asteroid. Even though 3PO was excitable, he was rarely wrong. She looked upon the dark cavern, the mist playing tricks on her eyes. Her mind began to wonder back to, what did 3PO call it… their 'moment' in the corridor. Until…. Something really did fly past the window…. !!!
