History

If the City Rep, Webmaster, Treasurer, Secretary or Vice President should leave prior to completing his/her term of office, a special election will be held at the next meeting.

If the President should leave before the end of a term, the Vice President will immediately step in. A special election would be held at the next meeting to fill the vacant Vice President position. Upon completion of the partial term, the former Vice President would then serve a full term as President, providing no objections are voiced.

All current office holders are considered incumbents and may run without nomination for their current office, should they so choose.

C. Removal of Officers
After careful consideration--to be exercised in a strictly confidential manner--members may remove any Indy Knights Officer from his/her office, whenever the best interests of the organization would be served thereby. The final decision to remove an officer shall be made through a simple majority vote by all members present at a special meeting (see IV.C). Proxy votes by active members who cannot attend the election meeting will also be accepted.

D. In the event of a TIE vote, there will be a run off election at the same meeting between the tied candidates. All previous voting rules will apply.

ARTICLE II. SIGs (Special Interest Groups)

In addition to the main organization, SIGs may be created to focus not only on specific Indy Knights administrative matters--such as membership or marketing/media relations--but also the many aspects of Fandom--such as travel, movies, or collecting. Each SIG will be headed by a person (the “Moderator”) appointed by either the Indy Knights President or members of the particular SIG.
