Bylaws and Mission Statement Of The Indy Knights Indy Knights: Hoosier Daddy, Luke? The Indy Knights Mission Statement is simply to have fun and enjoy our common love of Star Wars with our fellow members. After all, if you can’t love a Star Wars fan, who can you love? ARTICLE I. OFFICERS A. Officer Duties The Officers of the Indy Knights will consist of the following: President: This is the “Umbrella” member of the group. This person needs to have both the time and the motivation to be actively involved in every facet of the Indy Knights. He/She will be asked to chair meetings and will work in conjunction with the other administrative positions to promote a productive and fun environment. This person will also schedule meetings and events and encourage participation by all members. During scheduled events outside the meetings, the President will serve as spokesperson for the Indy Knights. Vice President: The “catch-all” member of the group. This person will be required to perform all manner of logistical functions. The Vice President will work closely with the President and other elected members and should be an active member of the group. MOST IMPORTANT: IF the President cannot attend a meeting or fulfill any obligation, the Vice President must be able to fill that role. Secretary: The person serving as Secretary will be responsible for recording the minutes of each meeting, as well as the posting of all meeting minutes and any threads about sanctioned group activities (DATE/TIME/PLACE/DETAILS). The Secretary should also be ready to step in if either the President or Vice President is unable to attend a meeting. Events Co-ordiantor: The Events Co-ordiantor will be responsible for organizing and over seeing all Indy Knights events. This would include our volunteer time for the Rathskellar, to keep our room at no cost. Also this would include any parties or gathering such as Bowling, hockey games etc., as well as any other volunteer oportunities such as the Indianapolis Motorspeedway. Updated 6/14/2005 |
